Photo of the Month: Klingle Valley
Occasionally I’ll be posting a photo of or relating to urban nature here on Our Urban Jungle, just as a fun way to incorporate photography into the blog again. A couple of years ago I did a year-long series of urban nature as part of a 52 weeks project – a less intense version of a 365 project. The twist this time is that I won’t always be the photographer. To that point, starting us off in January is this wonderful photo taken by David Harris of the Klingle Valley trail, a tributary park of Rock Creek Park here in DC. The photo was taken from the vantage point of the Connecticut Avenue bridge, which is always a busy road. This photo was taken during rush hour while out on a walk with our dog, a great reminder that if you stop and look for it you’ll find natural beauty all around.
